About this role

Schedule/Hours: Monday-Saturday availability / 30-40 hours per week (Seasonal through December 2026)

Job Summary:
Supporting 8000 individuals as participants of the Angel Tree program, this role will assist full-time Salvation Army team members and volunteers with the verification, organization, and distribution of Angel Tree donations, packaged into bags for individuals to receive from our warehouse. Angel tree bags contain various donated items (toys, books, clothes) requested by members of our community to provide a positive holiday experience for their families.

Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
Assists in carrying and organizing products up to 25lbs to assist with warehouse organization.
Checking bags, filling missing bags, unloading bags from trucks.
This position requires crouching, kneeling, lifting, and pushing carts.
Applicants must have excellent customer service abilities, professionalism, and a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality.

Assists individuals with adopting Angels as part of the Christmas Angel Tree Program; provides information and answers questions regarding adoption of Angels; prepares and maintains accurate records related to the Angel Tree adoption and gift process.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and demonstrated skill in customer service practices. Knowledge of effective and efficient record keeping. Ability to maintain an efficient and organized filing system. Ability to maintain the confidential nature of the work. Ability to follow instructions, plan and organize work, and work under limited supervision.

Mental and Physical Abilities:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail with constant breaks in concentration associated with answering questions or speaking to individuals requiring assistance.
Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
Duties require walking, standing, lifting and carrying. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High School diploma or G.E.D. or Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
