Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for construction and capital improvement projects across our portfolio. This role ensures projects are effectively planned, coordinated, and delivered in accordance with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and operational requirements.

The Construction Manager will oversee multiple concurrent projects, manage and mentor project-management and construction professionals, and serve as a key point of coordination among internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, facilities teams, and business leaders.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience delivering construction projects where safety, production continuity, utility coordination, shutdown planning, and minimizing operational disruption are critical to project success.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide leadership, oversight, and direction for construction and capital improvement activities across the portfolio.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, construction managers, and other project professionals.
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects from planning and design through construction, commissioning, closeout, and turnover.
- Establish and maintain consistent project-delivery processes, standards, controls, and best practices.
- Monitor project scope, schedules, budgets, procurement activities, contracts, change orders, forecasts, and overall financial performance.
- Review project plans, schedules, estimates, and execution strategies to identify risks, constraints, and opportunities.
- Lead construction activities in active manufacturing and industrial environments while minimizing disruption to production and facility operations.
- Coordinate project work involving manufacturing equipment, building systems, utilities, infrastructure, and production-support areas.
- Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure projects comply with client requirements, contractual obligations, applicable building codes, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
- Oversee contractor and consultant performance, including safety, quality, cost, schedule, staffing, and compliance.
- Partner with Facilities, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Real Estate, Finance, Procurement, Safety, Security, and other service lines to support successful project delivery.
- Provide clear executive-level reporting on project status, financial performance, risks, decisions, and major milestones.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination among project stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, reduce costs, mitigate risk, and increase operational efficiency.
- Support capital planning, annual budgeting, forecasting, and project prioritization.
- Ensure complete project closeout, including record documentation, testing, commissioning, training, warranties, turnover, and transition to facility operations.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Real Estate, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- At least 10 years of progressive construction or project-management experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing construction and capital projects in manufacturing, industrial, process, or production environments .
- Experience overseeing multiple projects, complex capital programs, and/or a team of project-management professionals.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, project controls, contracts, procurement, cost management, scheduling, quality assurance, and risk management.
- Experience coordinating construction in active operating facilities, including production-impact planning, utility shutdowns, equipment installations, and phased project execution.
- Strong understanding of construction safety requirements and contractor safety management.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across a complex, fast-paced project portfolio.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, technical teams, contractors, consultants, and operational stakeholders.
- Expert in project management, scheduling, document control, and financial management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with manufacturing facility expansions, renovations, infrastructure upgrades, equipment installations, production-line modifications, or utility-system improvements.
- Experience managing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process utility, controls, life-safety, and building infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with commissioning, startup, validation, and operational-readiness processes.
- Experience working in regulated, high-hazard, or mission-critical manufacturing environments.
- Professional certification such as PMP, CCM, LEED, or an equivalent industry credential.
