In this job, you will
- Partner with department leaders to translate company priorities and milestones into product roadmaps, program schedules, and defined deliverables.
- Oversee technical programs for high-volume serial manufacturing, including production readiness, capacity planning, ramp milestones, and the resolution of issues that affect output.
- Coordinate the transition from prototype builds to serial production with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and contract manufacturing partners.
- Work with functional leaders and finance to plan and track headcount, budgets, and other program resources. Establish clear ownership, dependencies, and delivery expectations across participating teams.
- Define and maintain program management processes, operating rhythms, and decision forums.
- Identify risks early, make their impact visible, and coordinate mitigation plans with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Prepare decision points for leadership meetings, including the information and recommendations needed to resolve blockers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 12 years of experience in engineering, technical program management, or management consulting.
- At least five years of experience managing Technical Program Managers.
- Experience with hardware development, manufacturing processes, and production ramp.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers.

- Demonstrated success leading complex programs involving multiple functions.
- Experience supporting high-volume serial manufacturing.
- Proficiency with project planning and tracking tools, including schedule and Gantt chart management.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with senior leaders and engineers across disciplines.
- Strong judgment and the ability to communicate complex program information clearly and concisely for different audiences.
- Experience handling confidential business and technical information with discretion.
Base Salary Range
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
