The impact you’ll make

As a Program or Project Manager at Lam, you  will drive sourcing of newly designed parts directly from HVM suppliers, helping improve product margins and source parts closer to manufacturing sites. You will partner with purchasing, should-cost engineering, sourcing engineers, and regional Supplier Business Managers to optimize sourcing outcomes.  You’ll be at the forefront of project initiation through delivery, using your expertise to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure project are completed on time and within budget. Clear communication, problem solving, negotiation, E2E sourcing knowledge, and a high standard of excellence are essential.

What you’ll do

- Translate high-level objectives into actionable strategies and tasks.
- Partner cross-functionally to develop metrics & tools to drive delivery and cost-savings objectives.
- Develop relationships with Lam’s Asia supply base.
- Develop knowledge of Lam’s procurement processes & workflows.
- Identify supplier cost, capacity, and delivery risks and opportunities.
- Apply systemic problem-solving to resolve internal process gaps.
- Coach Supplier Business Managers & Sourcing Engineers on NPI sourcing processes and supplier negotiations.
- Present monthly & quarterly performance to executive-level audience.
- Serve as a resource to buyers for sourcing and process questions.
- Serve as a single point of contact for HVM Direct supply base escalations for U.S.-based customers.
- Develop training and assist in onboarding for new HVM Direct suppliers.
- Develop broad-based knowledge of multiple commodities.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes.

Who we’re looking for

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Materials Science, Logistics, or related field with 12+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 8+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of related experience in supply chain management.
- Solid analytical and written/oral communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally across all levels of the organization.
- High-level proficiency in planning, creating, and delivering executive-level presentations.
- Ability to travel to international supplier sites and after-hours meetings with global team members.

Preferred qualifications

- Advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Previous work experience in commodity management, procurement, contracting, materials management, or operations management.
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communications skills, anticipates questions, and presents options.
- Project management or team lead experience.
- Lean Six Sigma experience.
- Understanding of operational processes and interdependencies.
- Ability to learn new technologies and manufacturing processes.
- Adept relationship-building skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and gain stakeholder trust.
- Customer-and results-focused, with creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

Salary Range for this position: $114,000.00 - $253,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside in California and most states. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
