Job Title: Sr Finance Manager Job Description The Sr Finance Manager serves as a strategic Finance CoPilot, partnering with business leaders to transform financial data into clear insights that drive better decisions, stronger performance, and disciplined execution. This role challenges assumptions, highlights risks and opportunities, and clarifies the financial impact of key decisions while maintaining robust governance and financial rigor. The Sr Finance Manager leads forecasting, budgeting, longrange planning, and performance management, and plays a critical role in integrated business planning, pricing, and profitability optimization across product portfolios and markets. Responsibilities
- Advise business leaders on strategic, operational, and tactical decisions by providing clear financial insights and recommendations.
- Assess risks, opportunities, tradeoffs, business cases, return on investment (ROI), and scenario analyses to support informed decisionmaking.
- Promote strong financial governance, internal controls, and finance acumen across the organization.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, longrange planning, and regular business performance reviews to ensure alignment with financial targets.
- Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights, explain variances, and recommend corrective actions to improve results.
- Leverage Center of Excellence (COE) dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), financial models, and Data & Insights support to monitor performance and standardize analysis.
- Connect operational metrics to financial outcomes across functions and deliver clear financial narratives that support timely and effective decisions.
- Partner with crossfunctional teams, the COE, peer finance copilots, and Data & Insights to align financial goals with operational execution.
- Reduce lowvalue ad hoc analysis by enhancing decision support, automation, and standardized financial processes.
- Quantify benefits, track savings, validate financial results, and ensure finance input is incorporated early in key business discussions.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, governance standards, audit readiness, and data integrity, while balancing financial rigor with practical business needs.
- Coach and mentor junior finance team members to strengthen overall finance capability and improve finance tools, processes, and ways of working.
- Partner with leadership on key decisions involving contract pricing and sensitivities to changes in commodity and almond market values, contract durations and sales timing, and product portfolio decisions based on profitability.
- Participate in weekly pricing meetings to provide financial perspective on pricing strategies and market dynamics.
- Lead the finance role in Ingredients, Commodity, and International Branded Demand Review within the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, evaluating forecasts against product availability and market conditions.
- Identify risks and opportunities to the financial plan within the IBP process and define actions required to deliver financial commitments.
- Lead monthly Financial Performance Management for relevant business units, including variance root cause analysis, performance versus incentive targets, rolling profit and loss (P&L) forecasts, sensitivity analysis, and recommendations to achieve or exceed net profit targets.
- Provide weekly financial updates that highlight performance versus plan and identify levers or changes needed to achieve or exceed financial targets.
- Lead the budgeting process for designated business units, including demand evaluation by product type and pricing by market and customer, while appropriately influencing and challenging assumptions.
- Provide financial support to international branded teams by evaluating pricing, promotional activities, and marketing investments.
- Support continuous improvement in business process management, financial reporting, and decision support tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to evaluate commercial decisions, pricing strategies, and customer profitability, particularly in environments with fluctuating commodity prices.
Essential Skills
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or a combination of education, certifications, and commensurate experience.
- 610+ years of progressive finance experience, including business partnering, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or operational finance.
- Proven experience in forecasting, budgeting, longrange planning, and financial performance management.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, financial management, and cost analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority and build trusted partnerships with leaders.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for nonfinance audiences.
- Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and problemsolving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into concise conclusions.
- Experience working in environments with fluctuating commodities and understanding of commoditydriven financial dynamics.
- Proficiency in demand planning and integrating demand signals into financial plans.
- Demonstrated business acumen with a strong focus on results and sound judgment in decisionmaking.
- Ability to leverage dashboards, KPIs, and data tools (including COE and Data & Insights resources) to monitor performance and standardize analysis.
- Experience partnering with sales and commercial teams to support pricing, contracts, and profitability decisions.

- Experience in commoditybased businesses, ingredients, or agricultural products.
- Experience providing financial support for international branded products, including pricing, promotions, and marketing investments.
- Demonstrated strength in business process management and continuous improvement of finance processes and tools.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior finance professionals.

This is a Permanent position based out of Sacramento, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $155000.00 - $165000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. 20% Bonus
