Position Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive utilities strategy for AWS data centers for AMER regions. Manage multiple Utilities, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts, and Owner's Engineers to deliver Medium-Voltage (MV) and High-Voltage (HV) power infrastructure, including negotiations and contracting. Work cross-functionally across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security. Develop and execute energy strategies that leverage capital projects (utility grid connections, high voltage substations, energy storage, etc.) to reduce long term energy costs. Manage capital budgets for electrical infrastructure and energy projects. Work collaboratively to support the development of strategic energy sourcing opportunities. Execute electricity supply contracts that create new clean energy capacity on the grid (through utilities), reduce cost, and minimize risk. Manage a portfolio of complex energy projects. Collaborate with internal teams and regulated utilities on the implementation and management of energy projects to meet the business timelines. Identify and develop innovative cost savings projects (capital and operational) and initiatives related to energy infrastructure and supply. Complete due diligence on in-market opportunities and developing those opportunities into cost savings for the business. Work with utility regulators to develop policies and guidelines that enable broader AWS strategies and objectives.

40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range: $162,700/year to $220,100/year.

Basic Qualifications

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, Project Management or a related field and four years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have two years of experience in the following skills: (1) providing technical leadership and project management for commercial or business development energy or utility projects; (2) managing large power infrastructure or utility contracts with external stakeholders; and (3) tracking planned schedule progress of owner work as well as contractor or utility work, to drive projects to completion. Up to 25% domestic travel to perform role responsibilities may be required.#0000

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
