About the Role
The Shipping Associate helps keep our coffee operation moving by packaging coffee and tea products and packing orders for our customers, retail locations, and wholesale partners. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in doing things well, pays attention to the details, and enjoys being part of a team. While the primary focus is shipping and fulfillment, you’ll also have opportunities to support the Production and Roasting team and learn more about how our coffee makes its way from our facility to the people who enjoy them.
Responsibilities:
- Fulfilling customer orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Pick, pack, and prepare finished products for shipment
- Palletizing finished orders
- Prepacking fragile products for safe shipping
- Restocking boxes and other shipping supplies from our storage unit
- Packaging retail tea products
- Loading all packages on the daily UPS pickup
- Moving finished goods between our production and shipping spaces
- Rotating and condensing finished goods to free up shelf space
- Assisting the production team with day-to-day tasks as needed
- Assisting with receiving and putting away inbound materials and supplies
- Keep work areas clean, organized and safe
- Follow established procedures for packaging, labeling, handling and storage in compliance with any and all food safety requirements.
- Jump in where needed to help keep the team and production operation moving
Additional Duties
The responsibilities listed above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. As our business grows and evolves, responsibilities may change, and team members may occasionally be asked to take on additional tasks that support the Production and Shipping teams and the needs of the business.
Requirements:
- Must be enthusiastic about some damn good coffee
- Must be available for 40hrs a week Monday-Friday
- Enthusiasm and hustle to learn and grow as an individual and as a member of the team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in getting things right
- Basic computer skills required and an understanding of Google Drive Suite, Shopify and shipping software (Shipstation) are a plus.
- Flexibility and adaptability to a growing business and innovation
- Team player mindset
- Must be able to lift 75lbs solo and 150lbs team effort
- Stand for long periods of time, most of the shift is spent standing
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects and materials
- Forklift experience a plus
