Key Responsibilities May Include:

Lead and mentor a team of Account Executives, fostering a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction, retention, and growth through strategic account management and sales initiatives. Develop and implement tailored business plans for key accounts, identifying opportunities for revenue growth, cost reduction, and strategic alignment with CHEP’s broader goals. Monitor and evaluate team performance against key metrics, including revenue targets, customer retention, and satisfaction scores, taking proactive measures to ensure continuous improvement and success. Build and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations, ensuring deep understanding of their business needs and driving value creation for both the customer and CHEP. Oversee the management of contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and account renewals to ensure alignment with CHEP’s strategic and financial objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Logistics teams to design and implement solutions that enhance customer experience, streamline operations, and drive business value. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, leveraging market insights, customer feedback, and industry trends to expand CHEP’s footprint within assigned territories. Champion a Zero Harm culture, ensuring the team adheres to safety protocols and actively promotes a safe and compliant working environment.

Position Purpose

Lead and develop a high-performing business development team, driving strategic growth across new market sectors and increasing revenue through a customer-centric approach.
Implement data-driven sales strategies to optimize pipelines, expand market penetration, and ensure sustainable profitability and long-term customer partnerships.

Major/Key Accountabilities

- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales targets, ensuring continuous growth and development.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies focused on acquiring new business in high-potential sectors, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to secure long-term partnerships and improve customer retention.
- Manage and optimize sales funnels and pipelines, leveraging tools such as Salesforce for accurate forecasting and timely execution of sales initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) to drive business growth and align on strategic objectives.
- Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, assess competitive dynamics, and uncover new business opportunities for expansion.
- Lead the negotiation of high-value commercial proposals and contracts, ensuring alignment with profitability goals and company policies.

Authority/ Decision Making Default Experienced People Leader, leading and developing teams with a larger portfolio of the most complex market sectors and largest sales targets. The focus is on the delivery of medium term results within functional policy and precedent and outputs are subject to periodic review against targets.

Experience

- Minimum 4 years in a commercial manager role with people leadership
- Minimum 10 years in general business experience
