Parkshore - Fitness Coordinator (Temporary)
to join our team!

This is a temporary assignment, expected to last until 12/14/2026. The pay is between $28-32 per hour DOE, and would be approximately 30-40 hours per week (4 to 5 days per week depending on availability).

Our Fitness Coordinator:

- Assesses and evaluates senior residents’ needs for exercise and fitness.  Works with residents individually and in groups.  Plans individual fitness programs for participating residents;
- Supervises or leads exercise programs that may include exercises in the pool;
- Assists team members and residents with orientation to Fitness Center, procedures, and policies;
- Produces promotional materials, newsletters, flyers, etc. as required;
- Inspects, cleans and maintains equipment;
- Maintains records of residents’ progress;
- Assist with collecting data and reports for fitness activities as required
- Provides in-service trainings as required;
- Works in collaboration with other professionals to provide appropriate assistance to residents;
- Performs administrative functions for the department;Assists with setting up AV system in theater;
- Promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Ageand Eastmont in all areas of responsibility;
- Performs other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed!

- Bachelor’s degree in an exercise-related discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience (3 or more years of fitness related experience
- National Fitness Certification required (ACSM preferred, but not required.
- Be able to work generally 9am - 5pm but available to work some evenings and weekends.
- Experience in prescribing exercise to special populations preferred;
- Must be able to demonstrate proper uses of the exercise equipment;
- Knowledge of techno gym equipment (or be trained);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Squarespace;
- Pool certification (or willing to obtain within 6 months).

Physical Requirements include:

- Must be able to physically assist in safe exercise and the safe operation of the equipment.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 75 lbs.
