SAIC is currently seeking a Senior Contracts Principa l to manage contracts/proposals in support of its Army Navy Business Group (BG). The position requires knowledge of the government contracts field and will conduct the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of government contracts to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

This position is designed for a strategic thinker who will partner with business development and government customers to shape, influence, and navigate complex regulatory environments, including FFP EO and RFO frameworks. The successful candidate will synthesize intricate legal and contractual topics, resolving highly complex issues by developing creative solutions and negotiating strategies that optimize business interests while mitigating financial risks. Acting as a key advisor, they will continuously evaluate proposal changes, brief program teams on contractual baselines, and deliver clear, actionable risk analyses to leadership in a fast-paced environment.

This position is 100% remote and can be worked from anywhere within the United States.

Additional Job Responsibilities Include:

- Reviewing contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements.
- Advising program management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects.
- Interacting with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
- Developing solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
- Ensuring solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
- Supporting commercial work as well as complex efforts including Firm Fixed Price (FFP) defined delivery efforts.
- Proposal preparation; negotiation and administration of various contracts to include Cost Reimbursable (CR), Time and Materials (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and multiple Task Order contracts development; preparation, negotiation, and administration of teaming agreements and proprietary information agreements; collection and submission of data for regulatory reporting; and development and management of OCI Plans.
- Providing mentorship to contract team members.

"The anticipated salary range for this role will be between $155,000 and $165,000 based on the candidate's experience and qualifications."

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- No clearance required to start; Ability to obtain a Secret clearance required to maintain employment.
- US citizenship required.
- Cost proposal development experience.
- Experience with CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, FFP, T&M and commercial contracts.
- Experience with OTAs, CSO, BPAs, etc.
- Thorough understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards in contract administration.
- Full knowledge of industry practices.
- Expert knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contracts, including RFO, FAR, DFARS, TINA and CAS.
