About this role

SAIC is seeking a motivated, customer‑oriented Procurement Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. In this client-facing role, you will serve as the primary liaison supporting government stakeholders on a variety of procurement and program support activities. You will help ensure that procurements are accurate, compliant, and aligned with program requirements, while also supporting contract renewals, inventory management, and budget activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Verify and process purchase requests as tasked by client procurement staff
- Review vendor proposals to ensure they meet program needs and requirements
- Confirm vendor invoices accurately match purchase orders
- Verify that hardware and software purchases are received in good working condition
- Provide program support as directed by client management staff
- Perform inventory management for hardware, software, and related assets
- Conduct purchase agreement research and market price comparisons
- Draft Statements of Work (SOWs) for procurement actions
- Prepare Brand Name and Limited Source Justifications
- Respond to Contractor Performance Assessment Reports (CPARs)
- Assist in budget preparation and tracking
- Maintain and track periods of performance for each contract to avoid lapses in coverage
- Track and administer software licenses and accounts for each vendor/contract
- Monitor upcoming renewals and coordinate timely actions with stakeholders
- Communicate clearly and professionally with government liaisons and stakeholders
- Provide technical and procurement expertise to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR)
- Prepare and deliver weekly status reports to government personnel

Required

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years of demonstrated experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship.
- Strong experience with Excel, including creating and optimizing Pivot Tables
- Demonstrated understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in a government client-facing environment

Desired Qualifications

- Experience creating and executing SQL queries
- Prior experience supporting federal government programs or contracts
- Experience with CPAR responses, SOW development, and justification documentation
