Summary / Objective

The Loan Servicing Core Specialist II supports complex servicing setup, maintenance, and post closing activities across Commercial, Residential, and Consumer portfolios. This role ensures accurate boarding and maintenance of loans, participations, and investor loan sales while directly posting servicing transactions within established controls and authority limits.

Experience & Education Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred

- Minimum one (1) to three (3) years of banking, loan servicing, loan operations, administrative, or related experience preferred

- Basic knowledge of loan documentation and/or servicing practices

- Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word) required

- Experience with servicing systems, imaging systems, or loan origination systems preferred

Essential Job Functions:

- Maintain and update the Closing Calendar to support timely booking and servicing setup

- System boarding of new loans and loan modifications, ensuring system terms align with approval and closing documentation

- Onboarding of participation loans and investor loan sales, including required system coding and documentation

- Process End of Construction to Permanent conversions and HELOC repayment transitions

- Post servicing transactions directly to the core system in accordance with controls and approval requirements

- Validate loan data integrity and resolve discrepancies impacting billing, statements, notices, and reporting

- Maintain accurate servicing notes, documentation, and audit trails

- Partner with Closing, Credit Administration, Commercial/Residential Lending, Compliance, and QC teams to resolve post closing issues

- Escalate time sensitive servicing issues and system discrepancies to leadership

- Support audits, exams, and reporting requests

- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce exceptions, and enhance servicing accuracy

Qualifications

Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

- Working knowledge of loan servicing operations and post closing processes across Consumer, Residential, and Commercial loan portfolios

- Understanding of loan boarding, maintenance, modifications, participation loans, and investor loan sale processes

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of loan documentation, loan terms, payment structures, collateral coding, and servicing system requirements

- Familiarity with internal controls, servicing procedures, audit expectations, and the importance of maintaining accurate system records

- General understanding of compliance, regulatory, and data integrity requirements related to loan servicing activities

- Ability to interpret loan documentation and system data to ensure accurate servicing setup and maintenance

- Ability to maintain clear servicing notes, documentation, and audit trails

- Knowledge of core servicing systems, imaging systems, and workflow tools

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

- Ability to use standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers

- Requires manual dexterity and sitting and standing for longer periods of time

- Must be able to work schedules that meet the needs of the Bank
