Operations Float, RN/LPN

General Summary/Responsibilities:
The Operations Float provides clinical support and performs referral scheduling, referral acceptance duties, EPIC orders processing, new orders processing, nurse phone line support and customer service activities. These duties include data entry of referral information; benefit verification, initial authorization of services, initial patient contact, and other duties as assigned. Provide customer service to patients, physicians, and clinical staff regarding patient issues. Provide clinical support for patient care area. Also, responsible for processing requests for service and providing appropriate staff to meet patient needs.
The Operations Float, RN is also responsible for identified problem assessment, coordination, implementation and resolution.
Qualifications
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree

Current RN/LPN state licensure
Experience
Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
Prior job title or occupational experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a health care setting (hospital, clinic, rehabilitation center, home care, etc.) is required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills to allow accurate exchange of information.

Medical terminology with three years’ experience preferred. Demonstrated competency of standard medical terminology.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
On-call, weekends and holidays as required.
