EAC Network, a leading nonprofit social service agency, is seeking dedicated volunteers to support our mission of helping more than 80,000 individuals each year through over 100 impactful programs across Long Island and New York City.

Position Summary:

EAC seeks compassionate, dedicated volunteers to support programs that strengthen individuals, families, and communities. Volunteers help advance EAC Network's mission to foster a more compassionate and just society by assisting program staff, supporting service participants, and contributing to meaningful community initiatives.

Children & Youth Services:

Supporting children affected by abuse, neglect, foster care involvement, trafficking, and other challenges through supervised visitation, mentoring, and family support services.

Family & Community Services:

Helping individuals and families navigate challenges through conflict resolution, family support, community-based assistance, and programs that promote self-sufficiency.

Behavioral Health & Criminal Justice Services:

Providing treatment-focused and supportive services for individuals involved with the criminal justice system, including substance use treatment, mental health services, anger management, community service, and educational intervention programs

Senior & Nutrition Services:

Supporting older adults, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities through Meals on Wheels, caregiver assistance, guardianship services, respite programs, senior centers, nutrition programs, and social engagement opportunities.

Vocational Services:

Providing workforce development, employment readiness, job placement, training, and career support services to help individuals obtain and retain meaningful employment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

- Support program staff with administrative, operational, and community outreach activities.

- Welcome and assist participants, visitors, and community partners.

- Assist with community events, workshops, informational sessions, and special projects.

- Help prepare program materials, mailings, resource packets, and presentations.

- Provide clerical support, including filing, data entry, scheduling, and record maintenance.

- Support program outreach efforts through community engagement activities.

- Assist with participant services under staff supervision.

- Promote EAC Network's mission and services within the community.

- Participate in required orientations, trainings, and volunteer meetings.

- Maintain confidentiality of participant information and comply with agency policies.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

- Commitment to EAC Network's mission and values.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work respectfully with diverse populations.

- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

- Basic computer skills preferred.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

- Must successfully complete any required background checks, screening requirements, or trainings applicable to the assigned program.
