Ovation Hospice of Denver is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice On-call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Denver, CO. In this role, you will provide critical support and care to our hospice patients and their families during on-call periods, ensuring comfort and quality end-of-life care outside of regular business hours.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to patient and family calls during on-call hours.
- Assess patient needs and provide appropriate interventions.
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient interactions and clinical assessments accurately.
- Provide guidance and support to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Ensure compliance with all hospice policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Prior hospice or palliative care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work on-call shifts.
