Project Manager

Description

The Project Manager Aerospace is responsible for leading the successful execution of complex aerospace and contracts from kickoff through closeout. This role oversees project planning, procurement and subcontracting activities, scheduling, submittals, financial performance, and risk management to ensure delivery within strict cost, schedule, and quality requirements. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for the customer, drives communication across cross-functional teams, and provides strategic oversight to optimize project performance and profitability.

Essential Functions
- Review all Sales Turnover documentation, including drawings, specifications, pricing details, contract details, and correspondence
- Review Procurement and Subcontracting Plan and provide feedback on priorities and timing of orders.
- Review and manage Submittal Register to ensure that all submittals (technical and non-technical) are being managed and submitted within the required timing and quality parameters.
- Host Project Kickoff and Project Planning Session and provide oversight for development of the Work Breakdown Structure, Project Schedule, Project Scorecard, and Project Risk and Opportunity Register.
- Ensure that before mobilization the onsite team has all of the tools, material, and information required to work safely and efficiently.
- Provide input and approval of project time charges and material/service invoices.
- Provide oversight for the Request for Information process.
- Review all change orders before submittal to the Customer and escalate large changes to ensure Governance review.
- Review weekly scorecard and schedule updates and initiate Corrective Action Plans as required.
- Provide input to Accounting for invoicing and approve invoice before submittal to customer.
- Manage the relationship and all communication with the Customer.
- Manage and optimize all communication amongst the company project team.
- Prepare project forecasts and be prepared to discuss project profitability with company leadership.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience successfully executing Government contracts within strict schedule, cost, and quality parameters. Aerospace or military experience preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with a track record of successful delivery of complex projects.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working with project and customer stakeholders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Estacada, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $53.85 - $62.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
