The Quantitative Intern will work in collaboration with the Treasury Analytics Department, gaining exposure to Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) teams. The Quantitative Intern will provide support in various areas, such as model development, model governance, financial data analysis, and agentic AI integration.

Essential Functions

- Develop a working knowledge of the Treasury Analytics model inventory and Model Risk Management Lifecycle
- Develop a working knowledge of data preparation, model training, validation, testing, and monitoring
- Gain exposure to large databases using tools such as Snowflake, PowerBI, and Git
- Contribute to department projects using R and/or Python

- Strong Computer skills including R or Python
- Commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving assigned goals

Qualifications and Education Requirements

- Education : Bachelor of Arts or Science in Applied Mathematics, Economics, Finance/Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or related field. Master’s degree candidates preferred.
- Experience : Finance and statistical modeling knowledge preferred.

Work Environment

This position is a remote work environment for 5 days a week (Monday-Friday), except for federal bank holidays: 40 hours a week.

In accordance with Colorado and Virginia law: Pay for this position is anticipated to be $22 per hour.
