Summary Statement:

The Bar Porter is responsible for servicing the guests in a courteous and professional manner, while assisting bartenders throughout the course of business. This role ensures bar areas are always cleaned, organized, and properly stocked with prepped ingredients.

Primary Job Duties: Includes but is not limited to:

- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar area.
- Ensure the bar is properly stocked with supplies necessary for service.
- Replenish ice coolers, garnish trays, straws, and napkins holders.
- Ensure bar equipment and supplies are clean and in working order.
- Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
- Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to:

- Basic understanding of bartender work and/or drink preparation.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred:

- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education and Experience:

- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- At least 6 months of previous experience working in a day club or resort style pool bar.

Preferred:

- Previous experience in a large luxury resort setting.
- Six months day club or resort pool experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain the following:
- Alcohol Awareness Card
- Food Handling Card

- How is work typically performed? Standing, lifting, bending in extreme temperatures.
