We're looking for a Group Design Manager to lead Product Design for QuickBooks Live & ProPartner . You'll be the design counterpart to Product and Engineering leadership, shaping the experience strategy for one of Intuit's most important bets in services and the accountant ecosystem.

The portfolio spans QuickBooks Live expert services, the ProPartner and loyalty program, and the co-serve experiences that connect firms to their clients through the Intuit Accountant Suite (IAS).

Your mandate is bigger than designing individual services. You'll help evolve QuickBooks Live and ProPartner into a connected co-serve platform . One that helps small businesses grow and succeed by orchestrating the full power of Intuit's ecosystem: accountants (customers in their own right, served through IAS), our expert network (QuickBooks Live), and our partner program (ProPartner), delivering an outcome no competitor can match.

This is a role for a design leader who operates across strategy, systems, and craft, and who knows how to make experiences involving real money, human expertise, and a delicate relationship between Intuit, accountants, and small businesses feel remarkably clear, trustworthy, and human.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

Shape the co-serve experience

- Set the experience vision across QuickBooks Live and ProPartner
- Translate the co-serve strategy into differentiated, cohesive customer experiences that serve small businesses through their accountants
- Connect the journey end to end: how a business or its accountant discovers the service, through onboarding, ongoing bookkeeping, and the insights that come back
- Build scalable systems across direct, expert-assisted, and accountant-led surfaces

Define AI-native service experiences

- Shape AI + human-in-the-loop experiences, from AI-led support to expert-led review and guidance
- Make AI interactions transparent, useful, and trustworthy in moments that affect a customer's livelihood
- Balance intelligent automation with human expertise and customer agency
- Partner with Product and Engineering to turn emerging capabilities into customer value

Raise the craft bar

- Set a high bar for interaction, visual, and motion design
- Deliver cohesive, polished experiences across QuickBooks, IAS, and partner surfaces
- Stay close to the work through clear creative direction and hands-on leadership
- Foster a culture of critique, iteration, and shared accountability

Build an exceptional design team

- Lead, coach, and grow a team of designers across QuickBooks Live and ProPartner
- Create clarity around vision, quality, ownership, and impact
- Develop designers through direct feedback, coaching, and stretch opportunities
- Build a culture grounded in craft, curiosity, and accountability
- Spend real time in the accountant community, one of the most rewarding parts of this role, and turn what you learn into design decisions the community can feel

Qualifications

- Experience designing services, human-in-the-loop, or marketplace experiences , where people, not just software, are part of the product
- A hands-on point of view on AI-native product design , and clear thinking about how AI and human expertise combine in high-stakes workflows
- Significant experience leading product design and building high-performing design teams
- Proven ability to set strategic direction while staying close to the details of the work
- Strong point of view on interaction design, systems thinking, usability, and craft
- Experience with SMB, accounting, fintech, or another complex, high-trust domain, or the ability to get fluent fast
- Track record of aligning Product, Engineering, Services & Operations, Research, Risk, Legal, and Compliance partners around a shared experience vision
- Strong coaching and people leadership skills, with a track record of raising the quality of both the work and the team

The expected base pay range for this position is:
San Francisco $226,000 - $305,500
