The Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida (CVI) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing practice in Ocala. Opportunities include a full-time position combining clinic and hospital care or PRN inpatient coverage.
Cardiology experience is preferred but not required for the full-time role. New graduates with a strong interest in cardiovascular medicine are encouraged to apply.
Available Schedules
- Full-Time: Monday–Friday, with outpatient and inpatient responsibilities and approximately one weekend per month
- PRN: Inpatient cardiology coverage for occasional weekends

Your Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Provide hospital rounding, consultations, and follow-up care
- Conduct outpatient visits as part of the full-time role
- Order and interpret cardiovascular testing
- Collaborate with cardiologists on treatment plans
- Educate patients and maintain timely clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Active Florida license or eligibility to obtain
- Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to patient care and continued learning
- Cardiology experience preferred; new graduates welcome for the full-time position
