Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Cardiology | Columbus, GA

Columbus Cardiology Associates is expanding and seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cardiovascular team in Columbus, Georgia.

Build your career in cardiology alongside six experienced cardiologists and an established team of Advanced Practice Providers. This role combines predominantly outpatient cardiology with shared hospital responsibilities, providing experience across a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.

We welcome experienced cardiology APPs as well as motivated new graduates with a strong interest in cardiovascular medicine who are seeking hands-on training and physician mentorship.

Position Highlights

- Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule
- Half-day Fridays
- Primarily outpatient cardiology
- Shared inpatient care and hospital responsibilities

What You'll Do

- Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Conduct outpatient follow-up visits and support ongoing patient care
- Participate in inpatient cardiology care and hospital rounding as needed
- Review diagnostic testing and develop treatment plans with supervising physicians
- Educate patients about their conditions, medications and cardiovascular health
- Work closely with cardiologists, APPs, nurses and other members of the care team

What We're Looking For

- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current board certification or eligibility for certification, as applicable
- Active Georgia license or eligibility to obtain
- Strong interest in cardiology and cardiovascular disease management
- Cardiology experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate NPs and PAs with a strong clinical background encouraged to apply
