JOB SUMMARY 
We are seeking a skilled and dependable General Maintenance Technician with welding experience to perform routine maintenance, repairs and fabrication work across our facility. Prints are not always available, must use knowledge of part specific use to determine best fabrication method to ensure correct repair. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to weld and repair metal components safely and efficiently.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repair work on buildings, equipment and facilities
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Conduct welding and metal fabrication using stick and Mig weld, air arc and torch as required
- Repair and maintain structural components, handrails, gates, frames and equipment
- Must have good fabricating skills, perform high-quality MIG and Stick welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Inspect, measure or test completed work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using measuring and testing devices and strength and structural integrity
- Responsible for documenting all work for tracking in company equipment maintenance program.

Qualifications and Experience
- Welding certificate required
- Must be trained in lock out tag out
- Proficient 1-2 years of field experience using Stick and Mig welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders or production schedules.
- Knowledge of clean-up and disposing of spills properly

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, turn, lift, push and pull
- Ability to work in a horizontal or vertical position as needed
- Working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

Environmental Requirements
- PPE required
- Training in capturing and containing spills
- Exposure to outdoor elements, machinery, tools and welding equipment
