Experience-Rated Underwriting

- Evaluate, modify and price benefits for large corporate new business and renewal quotations in compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Build effective relationships with sales and client management partners to win and retain business
- Identify possible areas of improvement in the Large Corporate underwriting workflow.
- Collaborate with underwriters in the other offices on regional opportunities.

Focus on Data Governance and Process Improvements

- Assess, validate and analyse datasets available for underwriting, with clear understanding of the underlying concepts.
- Ensure data governance and consistency across underwriting data pipelines and reporting tools.
- Drive automation of reporting tools and improve data models for scalable analysis.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

- Develop and manage portfolio reporting across key underwriting, portfolio and financial KPIs.
- Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. expected, plan delivery, forecasts) and identify key performance drivers.

Portfolio Management and Optimisation

- Assess and challenge pricing strategies across business segments and channels.
- Evaluate the impact of pricing thresholds and decisions on growth, profitability and market standing.
- Support and own pricing frameworks and underwriting guidelines, including periodic review.

Business Insights and Stakeholder Management

- Provide analytical input into annual operating plans, forecasts and strategic plans.
- Identify structural performance gaps across segments, channels and locations, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Support cross-functional initiatives with Sales, Strategy & Planning, Actuarial, Finance and Operations.

Governance and Control

- Ensure effective embedded controls to detect inappropriate underwriting practices.
- Ensure underwriting policies, procedures and guidelines are implemented, enforced and periodically reviewed.
- Keep underwriting practices compliant with the latest regulatory requirements and Cigna standards.
