Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Business Development to support the day-to-day needs of team members and practice group lawyers in the execution of strategic go-to-market initiatives that generate new client relationships, enhance brand profile, and drive revenue opportunities. This role specifically supports the Corporate, M&A and Securities practices nationally.

This hybrid position will be based in Houston, Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio, Texas and presence in the office may be required from time to time pursuant to the firm’s hybrid work policy. Overtime and flexibility in schedule may be required from time to time.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Coordinate the production of client-targeted marketing materials to raise and maintain awareness of our Corporate, M&A and Securities team and sector strengths in line with strategic growth objectives, such as bids/RFPs, client development presentations, external publications, annual client value reports or relationship statement documents, ensuring adherence to brand and style guidelines.
- Assist with the identification and development of opportunities with target clients specific to assigned practice(s), as well as global and regional client teams served by the practice.
- Monitor strategic actions agreed in plans and project meetings; lead follow-up efforts.
- Work with the in-house events team and supervisor to plan, implement and report on industry conference sponsorships, client presentations and seminars, section/department retreats, client dinners, and other events related to the promotion of the Corporate, M&A and Securities team.
- Draft and coordinate submissions in legal directories (such as Chambers and Legal 500) and practice/industry surveys; work with lead lawyers to finalize and prep for interviews.
- Coordinate with partners on the development and publicizing of outcomes and thought leadership (client alerts and articles), in cooperation with the PR team where necessary.
- Manage the production process for developing Corporate, M&A and Securities team newsletters, blogs, client alerts and other external communications in a timely manner.
- Monitor and update off-the-shelf collateral — proof and organize content and related experience lists, marketing collateral and other materials used for go-to-market initiatives to ensure accuracy and consistency in adherence to brand and style guidelines.
- Develop and distribute internal communications for promoting monthly engagement activities of Corporate, M&A and Securities team; prepare talking points for highlighting same.
- Ensure that all marketing communications channels are utilized to convey consistent messages about the Corporate, M&A and Securities team, including social media; identify and recommend opportunities based on topic(s).
- Track client engagement activities for Corporate, M&A and Securities team responses in the Firm’s experience management system, including producing periodic reports on bid activity, collecting and publishing historical proposal data; identify and recommend opportunities based on report data.
- Manage the production of internal presentations for relevant training/development programs; identify and recommend topics for future programs.
- Conduct or oversee basic research projects (e.g., company relationship information, executive profiles, etc.) working with others to finalize and deliver.
- Maintain marketing mailings and lists in the Firms’ CRM system.
- Update intranet content in the US and, where relevant, at a global level to raise awareness of BD initiatives and opportunities.
- Finalize and process check requests, invoices, and other arrangements required for support of marketing activities as needed.
- Coordinate resources and materials for internal team meetings as needed.
- Assist team members in the lateral integration/onboarding process as needed.

Qualifications and experience:

- Bachelor’s degree required and minimum of five years of professional experience.
- In lieu of bachelor’s degree, minimum of nine years of professional experience
- Minimum of two years of law firm, professional services, or marketing business development experience preferred.
- Demonstrate understanding of marketing and business development concepts, awareness of subject-matter for [practice] team(s) a plus.
- Quickly establishes trust and builds relationships with internal stakeholders by being responsive, proactive and curious.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity; ability to learn and integrate the use of firm resources and technologies into all activity according to best practices.
- Must be comfortable interacting and collaborating with lawyers, other professionals and staff within the firm; possess diplomacy, enthusiasm, perseverance and a sense of humor.
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, hybrid/remote environment; demonstrates agility in responding to requests with accuracy and quality in a timely manner.
- A problem solver who is detail-oriented and highly organized; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deal with ambiguity.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibility, including assisting others with onboarding, advocating best practices and engaging with other teams on internal firm projects.
- Clear and concise written/oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite (including direct experience with PowerPoint and advanced functions within Excel).
- Experience with CRM and management systems a plus.
