Job Summary:
Our medical practice is seeking a dependable, highly skilled, and dual-certified Sonographer to perform both general diagnostic ultrasounds and echocardiograms on-site. We have fully maintained, dedicated equipment ready for use in our office. This position is ideal for a clinician looking for flexible hours, supplemental PRN income, or the ability to work in a focused, low-stress private practice environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform high-quality, diagnostic general diagnostic ultrasounds (such as Abdomen, Pelvic, Small Parts) and standard Echocardiograms (Adult Echo) in accordance with clinical standards.
• Utilize our on-site equipment to optimize image quality and capture necessary measurements.
• Prepare clear, concise technical summaries and preliminary findings for physician interpretation.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and accurate documentation within our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Ensure proper infection control and basic sanitization of the ultrasound equipment between patients.
Required Qualifications & Credentials:
• Cardiac Credential (Required): Active RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer via ARDMS) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer via CCI).
• General Ultrasound Credential (Required): Active RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or RT(S) (via ARRT).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience confidently performing both cardiac and general modalities independently.
• Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
