Position Summary
The Junior Auditor position is a hybrid role that pulls some of the responsibilities from the (Auditor) and the (Audit Assistant). The Junior Auditor will conduct entry level audits of the casino revenue reports while also assisting the Auditors and Audit Manager in various tasks to help the audit process such as; data retention, gaming machine verification, & ensuring the audit department is kept in compliance with the laws and regulations of State/Federal/Tribal agencies. The Junior Auditor may work hours appropriate to meet the needs of the business, which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
Essential Functions of the Position
- Ensures Thunderbird quality customer service and cheerful atmosphere maintained in your department.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of department at all times.
- Make good and proper decisions that reflect positively on you and the Casino.
- Learn the functions of both the Auditor and Audit Assistant Position in order to cover for either position while they are out of office.
- Assist Audit Manager and Director of Finance by handling, preparing, and filing financial documents such as invoices, receipts, and checks.
- Sort and compile paperwork daily.
- Consolidate weekly and monthly revenue audit worksheets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge and experience creating and explaining a variety of reports.
- General clerical experience.
- Must understand basic accounting principles.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand audit data.
- Must possess strong computer skills.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Keen attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervisory responsibilities, although will assist in training the audit assistant position.
Physical Demands
- Required to walk, sit and stand for periods of time.
- Ability to push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and move intermittently throughout the day.
Work Environment
- Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
- Exposure to smoke and second hand smoke.
- Noise level can be minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent combination of education and experience combined).
- Two (2) years casino experience preferred.
- Two (2) years Audit experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check and obtain a key gaming license.
