Quality Control Operations Manager

How You’ll Shape Our Success

At TSS, the certification report is the product our customers receive. As Manager, Report Quality & Delivery, you’ll lead the team responsible for ensuring that product is accurate, compliant, timely, and representative of the quality our customers expect from TSS.

You’ll bring together certification quality control and technical writing into one unified function—owning report quality from field data through final customer delivery. You’ll also help us scale by strengthening processes, improving data capture, and using technology and automation to build quality into every certification.

Your Day-to-Day Environment

You’ll lead a team of quality control specialists and technical writers while partnering closely with Field Operations, Training, IT, and technical leaders across TSS. This role blends people leadership, technical quality, operational performance, and continuous improvement in a fast-growing environment.

Domestic and international travel is expected approximately 10–25% of the time.

What You’ll Take Ownership Of

- ## Own the end-to-end quality and delivery of certification reports for cleanrooms, biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, and other controlled environments.
- ## Establish a consistent review workflow covering field data intake, technical review, formatting, and final customer release.
- ## Ensure certification data and reports align with applicable standards and test protocols, including NSF/ANSI 49, ISO 14644, ASHRAE 110, USP <797>/<800>, and CETA application guides.
- ## Lead, coach, and develop a combined team of quality control specialists and technical writers, including workload planning, performance management, and cross-training.
- ## Track and improve key performance measures including report turnaround time, first-pass yield, error and rework rates, and customer-reported discrepancies.
- ## Own escalation and correction of report errors, including root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- ## Partner across Field Operations, Training, and IT to improve data capture, automate quality checks, and build quality into the certification process at the source.
- ## Identify and implement technology and process improvements that reduce report cycle time while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- ## Translate technical field procedures and engineering input into clear, accurate, customer-ready documentation.
- ## Monitor changes to industry standards and incorporate updates into templates, procedures, workflows, and training.
- ## Build scalable processes and develop team capabilities that can support TSS as our certification volume continues to grow.

What You’ll Bring

- ## Bachelor’s degree in business, a technical/scientific discipline, or related field.
- ## 3–6 years of management experience.
- ## Experience with TSS field services, testing/certification, and laboratory services.
- ## Experience with certification software platforms and report-generation systems.
- ## Experience with document control and quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 or equivalent.
- ## Familiarity with controlled environment standards including NSF/ANSI 49, ISO 14644, ASHRAE 110, USP <797>/<800>, or CETA application guides.
- ## Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and improving operational performance through systems and process improvement.
- ## Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, customer-ready documentation.
- ## Experience with automation or technology-enabled process improvement preferred.
- ## Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10–25%.
