Strategy & Operations

The role

As a member of our strategy and operations team, you'll help design the commercial model that connects our product and go to market teams, and you'll build and run the systems that let Applied Compute sign, deploy, and support enterprise customers without slowing down. Working alongside our founders and GTM leaders, you'll help decide how we package and price what we build. You'll also run much of the operational path from first conversation to live deployment, and you'll help make it faster and cleaner every time we run it.

You’ll sit at the center of how we sell and operate: building the internal systems and operating cadence that help our sales team move faster and close more reliably. You’ll work directly with GTM, product, engineering, and finance to turn bespoke go-to-market work into clear workflows—improving handoffs, decision-making, data quality, and execution across the funnel.

What you'll do

You'll own both the commercial model (pricing, packaging, comp, planning) and the operational engine that gets deals signed and customers live.

Strategy

- Pricing & packaging: build and maintain deal models (costs, margin, resourcing) and help structure complex enterprise deals
- Segmentation & planning: define ICP/segmentation, learn from wins/losses, and feed market/customer signal into product + GTM planning
- Commercial systems: turn bespoke deal requirements into repeatable tooling and workflows (calculator, approvals, handoffs) so the team moves faster

Operations

- Contracting & deal desk: run contracts end-to-end (NDA → MSA/DPA/order forms), manage outside counsel + redlines, and scale templates/approvals for non-standard terms
- Engagements & deployments: coordinate scoping, staffing, timelines, and the path to production (security reviews, questionnaires, cloud access, vendor onboarding)
- Compliance & systems: build intake/tracking + contract repository; keep SOC 2/ISO evidence and vendor/policy workflows current
- GTM ops & reporting: keep CRM/GTM tools clean, build the operating cadence/reporting leaders use, and take on high-impact projects that don’t yet have a clear owner

What we're looking for

- Strong modeling skills and the judgment
- Experience designing pricing, sales compensation, or GTM plans, not only analyzing them
- Comfort reading contracts and understanding what a clause means for the business
- A strong operator who creates structure out of ambiguity and keeps many threads moving without dropping any of them
- Clear, careful writing and good judgment about when to escalate
- Real interest in AI, including how our technology works, where a model runs and what data it touches, and how compute costs and model economics shape a business

Strong candidates also have

- Experience at a usage based, consumption, or infrastructure company with a technical sales motion
- Experience with enterprise procurement, security reviews, or data protection agreements
- Training in consulting, banking, law, or growth investing, followed by time in an operating role at a startup
- Comfort with SQL or working directly with data
- AI built into your own analytical workflow, or internal tools and automations you've built to take work off your own plate

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000–$240,000 . Total compensation for this role also includes meaningful equity in a fast-growing startup, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you both personally and professionally. Base salary is determined by a range of factors including individual qualifications, experience, skills, interview performance, market data, and work location. The listed salary range is intended as a guideline and may be adjusted.
