About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated lab Supervisor to lead a team of development and test technicians. In this role, you will mentor and develop a team, and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. You will play a key role in supporting engineering development activities and driving continuous improvement within the lab environment.

Responsibilities

- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of development lab technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work to meet development schedules and program milestones.
- Ensure all lab activities are conducted in compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and established procedures.
- Partner with engineering teams to support development testing, prototyping, and hardware builds.
- Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Train and onboard new technicians, ensuring proper skill development and adherence to best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Manage lab resources, including tools, equipment, and consumables, ensuring availability and proper maintenance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reporting related to lab operations and activities.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts when issues arise.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality.

Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in aerospace labs, manufacturing, or technical operations environment.
- 1+ years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team lead role.
- Strong understanding of safety practices and quality standards.
- Proficiency with data tracking, reporting, and productivity tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience mentoring or training entry-level employees.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, and work in a lab environment for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering-related field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and procedures.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.

Base Pay Range for:
WA applicants is $47.82 - $66.94

- Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
