Objective of the position:

Drive, supervise and ensure all assigned OU activities in the corresponding shift are executed in time manner and with continuous improvement focus,  based on TOS principles Safety , Quality , Delivery, Cost , Moral and Environment, to reach manufacturing results based on the Detroit Axle plant´s Scorecard.

Ensure his team also executes under the company values and in a GPTW environment.

Main Functions:

- Plan and Drive all activities associated with the fulfillment of production goals, coordinate and guide personnel in accordance to HR guidelines; establish and follow-up on personnel, equipment and facilities requirements to ensure effective and efficient manufacturing processes to achieve plant goals.
- Establish production parameters and limits for the different products and mixes for decision making in order to administer production efficiently.
- Determine and analyze needs that result from production changeover, bottleneck problems or inefficiency in order to detect or implement actions or adjustments to the processes to improve production.
- Make decisions in reference to standards in performance and control points, as well as to provide follow-up to improve the efficiency in supervisors and direct manpower
- Reach established annual manufacturing goals in alignment with TOS principles ( Safety, Quality, delivery, Cost, Moral and environment ) with the help of continuous improvement tools.
- Execute and monitor personnel development and communications programs and other activities in order to promote continuous improvement order, safety and hygiene within assigned area.
