Senior Finance Analyst, Allocations Transformation

The Allocations Transformation Senior Analyst sits at the center of Alphabet’s corporate strategy and operational ecosystem. You will be tasked with breaking out of traditional financial silos to manage a matrixed portfolio that bridges core product areas with horizontal corporate functions.

Unlike traditional FP&A roles, you will focus heavily on process and system transformation, utilizing AI-native enablement to automate complex allocation processes. The role requires a unique blend of technical sophistication and strong P&L judgment to act as an objective advisor, solving high-level systemic problems and connecting dots for executive leadership across the company.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function.

- Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.

Preferred qualifications:

- MBA, relevant Master's degree or professional qualification.

- Experience leading large-scale process or system transformations within a complex multinational financial environment.

- Experience in full-cycle FP&A (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis) with a strong grasp of P&L mechanics and resource allocation strategy.

- Experience working within a SAP environment and integrating modern SaaS financial tools.

- Ability to influence and interact with executive stakeholders, acting as an objective advisor in high-pressure environments.

- Strong skills in AI/ML application for finance, SQL, and advanced data modeling to generate actionable insights and automate workflows.

- Lead the integration of AI and machine learning tools to automate driver-based cost allocations, reducing manual overhead and increasing the precision of corporate spend splits.

- Drive the end-to-end redesign of horizontal allocation workflows, ensuring they are compliant, operational, and scalable within a SAP and cloud-native environment.

- Ensure all automated and redesigned models accurately reflect underlying business realities, margin profiles, and accounting governance without creating blind spots.

- Partner with Corporate Accounting, Corporate Engineering, and the FP&A Hub to solve complex financial challenges, bringing a unique cross-domain perspective to resource allocation.

- Act as a multiplier within HSS by sharing best practices, demonstrating AI-assisted analytical workflows, and upskilling peers on modern tools.
