POSITION SUMMARY

Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and implement quality control audit plans.
- Evaluate production stages, testing functionality and appearance of the finished product.
- Train employees in quality procedures and standards.
- Document defects and follow up on corrective actions implemented.
- Perform equipment calibration, audits.
- Assist in development of Audit plans and schedules.
- Inspect chosen units or components in accordance with check list & engineering drawings.
- Maintain and document records and results in Quality System.
- Perform tests as needed in the Quality or Engineering Lab.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

- High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience/Skills:

- Minimum 5 years of combined production & quality control experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with Traulsen equipment and product lines.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers etc.) required.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to work cooperatively and congenially with co-workers to achieve cohesive and productive work processes required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management systems required, Dynamics 365 preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Perform activities including bending, stooping, standing, walking and lifting
- Stand and walk from four (4) to six (6) hours per day
- Climb up and down stairs
- Lift and carry components, tools, or other items weighing more than 35 pounds.  Any item over 35 pounds, is to be done with assistance
- Working temperatures vary with seasonal changes and climate control is limited.  The environment is one in which noise exists.
- Use various measuring instruments, i.e. tape measure, noise level reader.
- Ability to work around hazardous chemicals.
- Ability to wear designated personal protective equipment as needed for the work assignment (i.e. safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, cut-resistant sleeves, hearing protection, dust masks, safety shoes).
- Operate common office equipment, i.e. PC, phone, copier, printer, fax.

Hours of Work:

- Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day with flex starting times

- Infrequent weekend work based on business needs
