Our Forensic practice investigates problems in the built environment and provides evidence-based solutions founded on rigorous science and physics. We assist attorneys, property managers, building owners, contractors, manufacturers, and design professionals with a wide range of engineering and architectural issues.

Your Role  
As an Architect ural Designer   in our Forensics Practice, you will evaluate building envelopes and   architectural systems, diagnose failures or performance issues, and support the development of remediation strategies. You will contribute to forensic investigations, technical reporting, and litigation support in a collaborative environment. With support from your team, you will work on projects in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, ideal for architects eager to grow their technical and creative skills.

What   You’ll   Do

- Conduct forensic assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and performance investigations of building envelopes and architectural systems for damaged or distressed facilities.

- Prepare clear, detailed reports and visual documentation for technical and legal audiences.

- Participate in site inspections, field   testing   and evidence collection.

- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and legal teams to deliver   accurate   findings.

What   You’ll   Bring

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture ;   Master’s   or PhD preferred.

- Familiarity with building envelope design principles and forensic investigation techniques.

- Strong communication   skills, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine eagerness to learn, ask questions, and grow through feedback.

- A detail-oriented approach with the ability to apply fundamental engineering concepts and check your work with care and curiosity.

Compensation
The rate for this position generally is $77,000 - $90,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
