SUMMARY

The Private Banking Associate is responsible for supporting Private Banking and Commercial Banking relationship growth by delivering an exceptional client experience throughout the onboarding, relationship management, and ongoing service lifecycle. This role serves as a primary support resource for Private Bankers and Commercial Lenders, helping deepen client relationships by identifying opportunities to expand existing commercial clients into full household banking relationships.

The Private Banking Associate works closely with business owners, executives, and affluent clients to coordinate banking services, facilitate account openings, manage client priorities, and provide proactive follow-up. The position enhances service capacity and scalability across the Commercial and Private Banking teams by ensuring timely execution of client requests, strengthening client engagement, and identifying opportunities for wealth management, deposit, and lending referrals. The Private Banking Associate helps drive growth, improve client retention, and support the delivery of personalized banking solutions tailored to each client's unique personal and business banking needs.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supports new client onboarding activities by coordinating account openings, documentation collection, product implementation, and relationship setup.

- Serves as a primary point of contact for client service requests and banking-related inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution.

- Partners with Commercial Relationship Managers and Private Bankers to expand commercial banking relationships into full household banking relationships.

- Identifies opportunities to deepen existing client relationships through deposit products, treasury services, personal banking solutions, and wealth management referrals.

- Proactively manages client priorities, follow-up activities, and service requests to help ensure a seamless client experience.

- Coordinates ongoing relationship reviews and client outreach efforts to strengthen engagement and identify growth opportunities.

- Works collaboratively with internal banking partners to ensure effective delivery of products and services aligned with client objectives.

- Supports deposit growth initiatives through relationship expansion and proactive client engagement.

- Utilizes SalesForce and other Bank systems to maintain accurate client information, pipeline activity, referral tracking, and service records.

- Maintains awareness of client financial needs, banking trends, and market opportunities to assist relationship teams in identifying new business opportunities.

- Maintains a high level of compliance in accordance with Bank policies and procedures and remains knowledgeable of and adheres to applicable laws and regulations.

- Actively communicates and collaborates with internal departments to maximize client service and relationship opportunities.

- Performs work in the best possible interest of the client and actively supports the Bank's service culture.

- Performs other relevant duties as assigned.

- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 5 years of banking, private banking, commercial banking, treasury management, wealth management, or related financial services experience preferred.

- Experience with account onboarding, deposit products, relationship management, and client service activities.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client relationships and service requests while maintaining high levels of accuracy and responsiveness.

- Experience identifying referral opportunities and coordinating with internal business partners.

- Experience using SalesForce or other customer relationship management systems preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelors degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.

- Relevant banking or financial services certifications are a plus.

- Proficient computer skills, including use of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and SalesForce.

- Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and maintain strict confidentiality.

- Must be driven, accountable, collaborative, and client-focused.

- Ability to work independently while effectively supporting multiple relationship managers and banking partners.
