The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Manager IWP to lead service delivery excellence, build high-performing teams, and strengthen trusted client relationships within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader who thrives on delivering outcomes, empowering people, and driving continuous improvement while working alongside Defence stakeholders and industry experts.
As the Manager IWP, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of services within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. You'll play a critical role in ensuring exceptional client outcomes, operational performance, and service excellence while leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.
Operating with a high level of autonomy, you will oversee service delivery, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, governance, commercial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your success will be measured by the strength of your client relationships, delivery outcomes, team performance, and contribution to strategic business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Lead Service Delivery Excellence
- Ensure services are delivered to agreed scope, schedule, quality, cost, and performance expectations.
- Maintain accountability for operational effectiveness, client satisfaction, and delivery outcomes.
- Monitor performance metrics and proactively address risks, issues, and service improvements.
Drive Planning and Execution
- Translate client requirements into executable delivery plans.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, resourcing, and execution of service activities.
- Adapt delivery priorities to meet evolving customer and operational needs.
Inspire and Develop Teams
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and empowered decision-making.
- Build workforce capability through coaching, development, and succession planning.
Build Trusted Client Relationships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across Defence, customer, and stakeholder groups.
- Provide clear communication, strategic advice, and meaningful insights.
- Anticipate stakeholder requirements and manage expectations effectively.
Manage Commercial and Governance Outcomes
- Ensure delivery aligns with budget, commercial obligations, and contractual requirements.
- Maintain strong governance, compliance, reporting, and assurance practices.
- Apply financial discipline and sound decision-making to support sustainable outcomes.
Champion Continuous Improvement
- Drive innovation and identify opportunities to improve services and operational efficiency.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with internal functions to deliver integrated and seamless solutions.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, managed services, operational delivery functions, or complex client-facing projects.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to deliver outcomes across scope, schedule, cost, quality, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Commercial acumen including cost management, financial oversight, and contract awareness.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience within Defence, managed services, or other complex multi-stakeholder environments.
- Experience leading service transformation, optimisation, or continuous improvement initiatives.
