Fraud, scams, cyber threats and financial crime continue to evolve. Protecting customers requires more than data alone. It requires strong product leadership that can turn complex information, analytics and AI into trusted capabilities that create real-world impact.

As our Senior Product Owner, Data & Intelligence, Protect.AI , you will lead a cross-functional squad delivering data-driven, intelligence-led and AI-enabled capabilities that strengthen customer protection, risk management and operational decision-making.

This is not a passive coordination role. You will own the backlog, make prioritisation and trade-off decisions, lead discovery and ensure the squad converts strategic priorities into valuable, measurable outcomes.

Your impact …

- Own your squad’s backlog, delivery priorities and end-to-end value outcomes

- Translate strategic and Release Train priorities into executable epics, features and user stories

- Lead discovery, bringing together evidence, insights and stakeholder feedback to identify the right problems to solve

- Guide a multidisciplinary squad of Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Data Engineers and delivery specialists

- Partner with Architecture, Risk, Technology and business stakeholders to shape secure, scalable and trusted solutions

- Make clear prioritisation, sequencing and trade-off decisions within established guardrails

- Define acceptance criteria and ensure completed work delivers the intended outcomes

- Navigate dependencies, delivery risks and complex stakeholder requirements

- Embed fraud, scams, cyber, financial crime, conduct, risk and control considerations into product decisions

- Drive adoption so delivered capabilities translate into genuine business value

- Track delivery progress, backlog health, adoption and measurable product outcomes

Key ingredients for success …

- Strong Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Analysis or Agile delivery experience – with Financial Protection domain experience would be an instant bullseye !

- A proven record of managing complex product backlogs and delivering squad outcomes in Agile environments

- Experience leading cross-functional teams through discovery, prioritisation and delivery

- Hands-on experience delivering data, intelligence, analytics, reporting or AI-enabled capabilities

- The ability to translate strategy and complex business needs into actionable epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria

- Strong analytical judgement and an evidence-led approach to product decisions

- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing capability

- Experience working across business, risk, technology and architecture in a complex enterprise environment

- A strong understanding of Agile and Scrum delivery practices

- An understanding of fraud, scams, cyber, financial crime or related risk management domains

- Agile, Scrum Product Owner or Product Management certification would also be awesome to have!

What will help you stand out from the crowd?

Deep Experience in Banking or another highly regulated industry will be highly regarded, along with exposure to scaled Agile delivery, Release Trains, data management, analytics, AI, machine learning or intelligence platforms.

You will have ideally worked closely with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Data Engineers or advanced analytics teams, or supported fraud, scams, financial crime or cyber security capabilities
