About the Role:

We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager to lead our efforts in fostering a dynamic and engaged workforce while upholding our vibrant company culture. In this role, you will oversee and enhance our internal communication and team member engagement strategies, working closely with various departments to execute and refine communication initiatives. Your expertise in crafting impactful messages and implementing strategic communication plans will be crucial in driving employee engagement and supporting our organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage the enterprise editorial and events calendar to ensure consistent, targeted, and effective internal communications and team member engagement.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to collect insights on company initiatives and employee experiences, creating innovative communication and engagement strategies.
- Produce a variety of internal communications materials, including emails, articles, newsletters, video scripts, digital/print signage, web content, and chat messages.
- Oversee the delivery of internal communications through digital platforms, such as email, intranet, and digital signage, ensuring high-quality execution.
- Drive engagement by exploring and implementing new ideas and methods for content distribution and employee interaction.
- Support and coordinate team member events, including Town Hall meetings, Directors Meetings, offsites, roundtables, and Learning & Development activities.
- Contribute to issues management and crisis communications, providing timely and effective responses as needed.
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand restaurant operations and identify opportunities for improving internal communication strategies.
- Serve as a key partner to operations, aligning communication efforts with operational excellence goals and supporting the implementation of communication plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, recap key metrics and make necessary adjustments to maximize impact and drive employee engagement.
- Work with operational leaders to gather feedback from frontline team members, integrating it into communication strategies for continuous improvement.
- Partner with Dir, Communications and People & Culture team to develop and implement an engagement strategy around select key moments (i.e. AAPI, Mental Health Awareness Month, BHM, HHM, etc.)
- Partner with Dir, Communications and VP, Marketing to design, implement and continuously improve the team member engagement experience across comms, internal events, key moments, and internal engagement platforms.
- Continuously evaluate, streamline and refine internal comms processes to drive efficiency, clarity and collaboration.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Proven experience in communicating to a diverse and dispersed workforce, including those with limited access to traditional communication channels.
- A strong passion for team member engagement and digital communication, with exceptional writing, editing, organization and proofreading skills.
- A strategic thinker and problem solver with a proven ability to translate complex or dense content into digestable, clear communications
- 5-7 years of experience in corporate internal communications or a related field.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite applications.
