We are looking to recruit a Manager based in Brisbane, or who is willing to relocate to Brisbane on a permanent basis, to join our Utilities Regulation team. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of major reform across energy, water and essential services, helping clients respond to evolving regulatory frameworks, pricing challenges and investment decisions. You'll work on complex issues that have a direct impact on customers, communities and industry, while also working nationally on some of the sectors most complex regulatory and commercial challenges.

What will your typical day look like?
You'll lead and coordinate project delivery across regulatory, pricing and market reform engagements in the energy, water and gas sectors. That could mean shaping project plans, facilitating workshops, meeting with clients on emerging issues, or developing clear, practical advice on complex regulatory and commercial questions.

The work you do will help clients navigate evolving regulatory frameworks, pricing decisions and investment challenges. These are issues that directly affect customers, communities and industry, so your advice will carry real weight and support better decision-making in essential services.

Working closely with clients, junior team members and specialists from across Deloitte, you'll balance delivery, stakeholder relationships and team leadership. Variety is a big part of the role, with a mix of office-based work in Brisbane, client engagement and opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and projects across Australia.

About the team

You will join Deloitte's Utilities Regulation team, an enthusiastic and supportive group that works with clients on regulatory and market reform, pricing and commercial strategy, customer and stakeholder engagement, and broader policy and investment challenges. The team supports organisations across the energy, water and essential services sectors, while also drawing on Deloitte's broader national network to bring together diverse expertise and practical thinking on complex issues.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

- You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

- Experience in the regulated utilities sector, including energy, water or essential services, or experience working with an economic regulator or related industry

- Qualifications in commerce, economics, law, public policy or a related discipline

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues clearly

- Experience engaging with clients, stakeholders or broader project groups

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn information into practical advice and recommendations

- Experience leading workstreams and supporting the development of junior team members

- Willingness to travel interstate as required
