Standard Job Description

Responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to develop immersive stories that answer business questions. Using proven and sound statistical methods, the analyst draws insights from data, and translates those insights into action that drive business results. Data Analysts are extremely resourceful and able to find novel new data sources to enrich their analysis. They apply mathematical and statistical methods to business and risk management problems. Mine, process, and summarize data; Manage the quality assurance of data scraping, query databases for stakeholder requests, and triage data issues for timely resolutions; Analyze large datasets, draw valid inferences and prepare insights in narrative or visual forms, including dashboards; Set up and maintain data processes and new analytics capabilities; Produce and track key performance indicators; Ability to formulate functional and technical requirements from business problems; Program management of key tasks and resources to achieve cost and schedule.

The role of Data Analyst Staff will be a critical part of the Aeronautics Controller’s team as we continue to transform the enterprise. Automation of reporting and analysis will allow greater efficiency and analytics across the business. This role will be tasked to design and develop methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze diverse sources of data across 1LMX, Enterprise Business Operations, and the Controller's group. The individual will be required to utilize tools to accomplish the requested analysis but also understand and communicate how the results of these analyses will impact the larger enterprise. This will require both technical software knowledge as well as the capability to communicate both cross-functionally and at the executive level. The individual will also be required to make meaningful and well-informed recommendations on how to transform reporting and analysis across multiple financial functions. The individual will build enduring relationships with our customers and help foster innovation for processes, projects, and reports. This role will require a growth mindset and a willingness to approach complex tasks from many different stakeholders.

Generally, has 5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related field or 5+ years of related experience in absence of a Bachelors degree

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

* Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $131100.00 - $243500.00

* Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $118000.00 - $219100.00
* Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
* Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $104900.00 - $194700.00
