Emirates Global Aluminium is the world’s biggest ‘premium aluminium’ producer and the largest industrial company in the United Arab Emirates outside the oil and gas industry. EGA is an integrated aluminium producer, with operations on four continents from bauxite mining to the production of cast primary aluminium and recycling. Supply Chain / Warehouse Management
JOB PURPOSE
To supervise Store staff in performing their duties in addition to perform Warehousing sectional functions in handling of goods and services to all areas of Emirates Global Aluminium (“EGA”) in accordance with departmental objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Warehouse Activities
§ Ensures Warehouse procedures are followed in accordance with company practices and policies of EHS are adhered to.
§ Pre-plans and allocates work to Store staff; carries out housekeeping and maintains mobile, lifting gear and other Warehouse equipment in good working order.
§ Obtains acknowledgement of and records all issues in the SAP system through barcode scanners.
Materials Receipt and Issue
§ Ensures that receiving Store staff accepts goods conforming to required specification and description.
Ensures that issuing Store staff despatches the right item in the right quantity, quality and time; ensures prompt delivery by optimising issues and site deliveries
Material Maintenance
§ Ensures all items received are barcode labelled and located in correct bins with bin labels;
§ performs physical stock taking as per cycle count for all materials;
§ ensures proper maintenance of stock items in Warehouse from time to time;
§ Records and monitors accurately all receipts in the SAP system through barcode scanners and prepares Gate Passes for despatching goods/equipment for local and overseas destinations.
Safety, Quality and Environment
§ Complies with all relevant EHS management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications:
§ Diploma in relevant area.
Minimum Experience:
§ 2 years’ experience as a Store staff
Skills:
§ Sound knowledge and skills in the operation and utilisation of all tools and equipment associated with warehousing functions such as SAP systems, bar-coding systems etc.
§ Good knowledge of computer systems such as SAP and MS Windows for Warehouse system, Bar Coding System – Hand Held Terminals (“HHT”) / Scanners etc.
