Job Purpose:

To deliver an exceptional retail experience by welcoming and assisting guests in a courteous and professional manner that reflects the attraction's values. The Retail Specialist is responsible for processing accurate point-of-sale transactions, providing knowledgeable product recommendations, and actively supporting the cross-promotion of the attraction's activities and offerings to enhance the overall guest experience and drive revenue.

Job Responsibilities:

- Welcome and greet guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner in line with the attraction's values and service standards.

- Assist guests with product inquiries, providing accurate and knowledgeable information to support purchasing decisions.

- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently through the point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash, card, and digital payment methods.

- Actively cross-sell and upsell retail products to maximize sales opportunities and enhance the guest experience.

- Promote and cross-sell the attraction's wider activities, experiences, and offerings to encourage guest participation and increase overall revenue.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail space, ensuring products are correctly displayed and shelves are fully stocked.

- Monitor and replenish stock levels, reporting low inventory to the relevant supervisor in a timely manner.

- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, escalating to the supervisor when necessary.

- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policy.

- Adhere to all cash handling procedures and ensure till accuracy at the opening and closing of each shift.

- Participate in stock counts, audits, and inventory checks as required.

- Comply with all health, safety, and operational policies and procedures at all times.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.

- 2-4 years of experience in retail operations, sales, or customer service.

- Experience in inventory management, merchandising, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Sales and negotiation skills.

- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems.

Job Context:

- Works in a fast-paced retail environment with direct customer interaction.

- Required to support daily store operations, sales targets, and customer satisfaction initiatives.

- May be required to work flexible schedules, including weekends, public holidays, and peak retail periods.

- Collaborates closely with store management, sales associates, and support functions to achieve business objectives.

Job Financial Dimensions:

- Responsible for achieving individual and store sales targets.

- Supports inventory control and stock accuracy to minimize losses and shrinkage.

- Contributes to revenue growth through effective product promotion and upselling.

- Ensures compliance with company policies regarding cash handling and financial transactions.
