Job Title: Test Automation Engineer (Playwright)

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Manual Testing, Automation Testing, and Playwright Automation . The ideal candidate should have experience in designing, developing, and executing test strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery across web-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright .
- Perform comprehensive manual testing for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
- Develop test plans, test scenarios, and test data based on business requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure software quality through continuous testing and automation best practices.
- Track, document, and report defects using defect management tools.

Required Skills

- 5 to 8+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance .
- Strong experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing .
- Hands-on experience with Playwright Automation Framework .
- Experience testing web-based applications and APIs.
- Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript for automation scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Exposure to performance and security testing.
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience is an added advantage.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Note: This is an onsite role based in Chennai, requiring presence in the office 5 days a week.
