The Group Project Engineer will coordinate the technical and managerial activities necessary to deliver engineering projects across the Group to drive performance and fulfil business requirements.

The role of Group Project Engineering Manager

· Work with Senior Leadership and Site Teams to identify, select, and prioritise projects based on business strategy

· Working with the Group Operations Director and local sites develop the 3-year automation strategy

· Evaluate technical requirements, project scope, and estimated project timelines

· Ensure robust project planning, identifying key activities, resources, responsibilities, constraints, and risk management

· Continually review and formally update project budgets as necessary

· Coordinate and provide direction for project teams.

· Clearly prioritise and communicate key project deliverables to all project contributors

· Establish measurable objectives and suitable KPIs for all projects

· Ensure project progress remains in line with planned progress

· Clarify responsibilities and coordinate dependencies for all project contributors

· Ensure a full understanding of project deliverables across the project team

· Ensure projects meet the applicable safety requirements

· Ensure projects meet the required technical specifications, quality expectations and organisational procedures

· Ensure clear and timely communication of project progress to all project stakeholders

· Ensure all project risks are identified and mitigated

· Coordinate appropriate responses to project issues as necessary

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

· Experience of working within a manufacturing or FMCG environment

· Prince 2 (or similar) Project Management qualification

· Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information to all stakeholders

· Excellent and proven organisational and planning skills to coordinate multiple activities and dependencies

· Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

· Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

· Ability to collaborate with and manage multiple stakeholders

· Excellent and proven technical skills

· Excellent leadership skills
