Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst – Pharma / Life Sciences
Location: Bangalore, India (hybrid) | Experience: 6–10 years | Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a Business
Analyst with strong Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences domain experience
to join our enterprise transformation practice. You will sit between
business stakeholders and delivery teams on large SAP and digital
programs — translating regulated, process-heavy business needs into
clear, buildable requirements, and making sure what ships actually
solves the problem.

Key Responsibilities

- Elicit, analyse and document
business requirements through workshops, stakeholder interviews and
process walkthroughs with Pharma business users (Manufacturing,
Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Commercial).
- Produce
high-quality artefacts: BRDs, functional specifications, user
stories with acceptance criteria, process flows (As-Is / To-Be),
traceability matrices and data mapping documents.
- Perform
fit-gap analysis against standard SAP functionality and recommend
standard-first solutions, flagging genuine gaps for custom build.
- Partner
with functional and technical consultants to shape solution design,
and review build against agreed requirements.
- Drive
UAT — define test scenarios, coordinate business testers, triage
defects, and manage sign-off.
- Support
validation and compliance deliverables where the solution falls
under GxP / regulated scope (URS, traceability, change control
documentation).
- Manage
scope and change: assess change requests for impact on cost,
timeline and risk, and support the CAB / governance process.
- Support
data migration and cutover activities from a requirements and
business-readiness perspective.
- Contribute
to training material, SOP updates and hypercare support post
go-live.

Domain Experience Required

Demonstrable experience on
projects in at least two of the following Pharma value-chain areas:

- Manufacturing & Batch
Management (batch genealogy, yield, shop-floor integration)
- Quality
Management (inspection plans, deviations, CAPA, batch release)
- Supply
Chain & Serialisation (track & trace, DSCSA / EU FMD, cold
chain, lot traceability)
- Regulatory
& Master Data (material/recipe master, specification management,
product registration)
- Commercial
/ Distribution (chargebacks, rebates, contracts, tender pricing)

Must-Have Skills

- 6+ years as a Business Analyst,
with at least 3 years on Pharma or Life Sciences programs.
- Hands-on
experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA in relevant modules (MM,
PP-PI, QM, SD, EWM).
- Strong
requirements engineering skills — able to write specs a developer
can build from without re-interviewing the business.
- Working
knowledge of regulated-environment concepts: GxP, GMP, 21 CFR Part
11, data integrity (ALCOA+), computer system validation.
- Comfortable
in both Agile (user stories, backlog grooming, sprint ceremonies)
and Waterfall delivery models.
- Proficiency
with JIRA / Azure DevOps, Confluence, Visio or Signavio, and
Excel-based analysis.
- Excellent
written and verbal communication; confident facilitating workshops
with senior client stakeholders.

Good to Have

- Exposure to SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5,
or integration platforms (CPI/Integration Suite).
- Experience
with validation-lifecycle tooling or CSV documentation in a client
audit context.
- Familiarity
with LIMS, MES, or serialisation platforms and their SAP
touchpoints.
- Prior
consulting or system-integrator background with client-facing
delivery exposure.
