Technical Program Manager III, Network Delivery Engineering, Cloud Networking

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Network Deployment Engineering (NDE) team is at the forefront of introducing new technology to Google's network and infrastructure. The team's mission is to deliver Network for Google to meet customers’ needs by managing deployment readiness, working with cross-functional partners and measuring introduction velocity against program plans. NDE is a key connection between the organization of Google Global Networking and Infrastructure and other engineering teams throughout Cloud.
As a member of the NDE team, you will evaluate the scalability and deployability of new technologies across Google's global network. Working at the intersection of Technical Infrastructure (TI) and Google Cloud, you will coordinate complex workstreams to ensure hardware, software, systems, and workflows integrate seamlessly to meet critical deployment timelines.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 5 years of experience in program management.

- Experience with network architecture.

- Experience with telecommunications networking or data center infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

- Experience with network deployment/engineering/operations or electrical engineering.

- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.

- Experience managing to data center constraints and knowledge of data center physical layouts, infrastructure, and standards (including power, space, cooling, operations and network).

- Experience with server hardware and software, network hardware and software, data center infrastructure and operations, or mechanical and electrical systems.

- Partner with teams across technical infrastructure and cloud to align priorities, manage complex dependencies, and drive execution.

- Develop deep technical and process knowledge to evaluate New Product Introduction (NPI) readiness through structured reviews, communications, and retrospectives.

- Translate NPI assessments into actionable insights, engineering the processes and automations necessary for volume deployment teams to achieve seamless scale with minimal friction.

- Design, implement, and iterate on new deployment processes and methodologies. Focus on toil reduction and technical debt stewardship, actively identifying and eliminating manual workarounds in software, configurations, and deployment tooling.
