Financial Crimes Analyst (Bulgaria)

Responsibilities

- Review alerts for transaction flows of digital assets and fiat currency in order to identify risk and potential suspicious activity.

- Ensure compliance with current Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions regulations, and other relevant legislation.

- Conduct account investigations and open source research in an effort to address any potential unusual activity.

- Perform due diligence on customers and review and investigate potential matches against sanctions and Counter the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) lists and ensure proper procedures are followed.

- Adhere to all policies and procedures.

- Maintain proficiency in all aspects of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/AML compliance; attend AML training as assigned by the Compliance Officer.

Requirements

- Fluent in English.

- In-depth knowledge of AML/financial crimes investigations.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a financial crimes/AML analyst.

- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

- Basic understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain.

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret regulations related to Anti-Money Laundering.

- Basic computer skills (spreadsheet and word processing).

- Ability to interact professionally with all levels within the Company.

- Skilled at monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing account activity in order to identify unusual or suspicious activity.

- Familiarity with Financial Institutions (banks, fintech, etc.) operations in general.

- Self-motivated, dependable, adaptable, and detail-oriented individual with analytical, writing, and organizational skills required.

- Good time management skills.

- Ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
