### Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled MSSQL Engineer with 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server database administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, security, and reliability of MSSQL databases supporting business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across production and non-production environments.
- Monitor database performance and perform performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
- Manage database backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, performance bottlenecks, and incidents.
- Implement and maintain high availability solutions such as Always On, replication, clustering, or failover mechanisms.
- Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for deployments and database changes.
- Maintain proper documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) administration.
- Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Knowledge of high availability solutions like Always On, replication, and clustering.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.
- Experience with monitoring tools, scripting, and automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in MSSQL database administration.
- Microsoft SQL Server certifications are an added advantage.
