Job Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FP&A O&G Data Modelling Senior Analyst to join BP Upstream business. This role is crucial for delivering insightful financial analysis, robust data modelling, and effective performance management within our Oil & Gas operations.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models for the Oil & Gas sector, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for performance improvement.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, concise, and impactful visualizations and presentations for various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand business drivers and incorporate them into financial models and analyses.
- Support integrated planning processes, ensuring alignment between financial plans and operational objectives.
- Monitor and analyze commercial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for optimization.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams, explaining complex financial concepts and influencing outcomes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes and tools.
- Responsible for delivering financial forecasting, analysis and insights and other financial performance and planning activities, using sound technical capabilities to ensure the business transactions and results of the reporting entity are recorded, reported and forecasted with integrity, in a timely manner and in conformance Group accounting policies and control standards.

Job Qualifications:

- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Expertise in data modelling and advanced analytical techniques.
- Strong commercial competence with a deep understanding of business drivers and financial implications.
- Proven ability in commercial/financial performance management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in data visualization and interpretation tools, e.g., Power BI, Power Apps, etc.
- Advanced financial analysis skills.
- Experience with integrated planning methodologies.
- Strong background in performance management frameworks and reporting.
