At the Operating Unit Animal Health Nordics, steered out of Copenhagen , we are dedicated to deliver health to animals in Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As our Sales Manager , you will lead and develop a team of Account Managers and Territory Managers across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, guiding them to achieve their business objectives while driving commercial success and exceptional customer engagement.
You will ensure our customer and account plans are built on data-driven insights, cultivate strategic partnerships with key accounts, and champion an integrated, multichannel approach to how we engage with our customers, always in full compliance with local regulations.
This position is based in Denmark and reports directly to the Head of Business Unit.

HOW YOU’LL FIT IN
- Build, lead, performance-manage, and coach a team of Sales Representatives/Territory Managers to drive commercial success and exceptional customer engagement across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
- Drive the definition and execution of data-driven customer/account plans, aligned with local activity and expert engagement plans.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with customers and accounts, and champion the implementation of an integrated, multichannel customer approach.
- Develop, implement, and continuously monitor adoption of customer engagement plans and models across all available channels.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities and mobilize your team to pursue them, ensuring value-added offers that drive customer access and engagement.
- Ensure cross-functional support for the team to develop and execute business plans, escalating deviations when needed.
- Ensure all customer interactions adhere to local regulatory requirements and Boehringer Ingelheim compliance standards.
YOU BRING
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, or Veterinary Medicine.
- Knowledge of the life sciences field, with a strong understanding of the animal health and veterinary industry.
- At least 4 years of experience in the healthcare industry. With a minimum of 2 years managing a sales team across more than one geography.
- Strong customer negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- A results-oriented mindset, skilled in account and customer planning, with strong strategic financial acumen.
- Curiosity and forward thinking. You spot opportunities for the organization before others do, and driving innovative ideas to respond to changing markets.
- A natural coaching style. You develop individuals and build effective teams.
- Fluency in at least one Scandinavian language and English .
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
