What   you'll   be doing:

Müller is looking to offer a talented placement student the opportunity to join the Group IT team as a IT Intern - Business & Projects. This role combines business analysis, project coordination and application support, giving the student practical experience across IT project delivery, business process improvement, stakeholder engagement, reporting and solution implementation.

Key tasks & responsibilities include:

- Analyse business processes, data and requirements to identify improvement opportunities and support solution design.

- Document business requirements, user stories, process flows and functional specifications.

- Support IT project delivery through planning, tracking actions, monitoring milestones and preparing status reports.

- Work with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, coordinate activities and support change initiatives.

- Assist with solution testing, validation and deployment, including test planning, execution and defect management.

- Provide application support, user guidance and knowledge documentation to improve service delivery.

- Develop an understanding of application ownership, lifecycle management and supplier coordination.

- Collaborate with project teams and fellow placement students on business and IT improvement initiatives.

- Take ownership of smaller projects, work packages and continuous improvement activities under guidance.

- Build skills in business analysis, project management, stakeholder engagement and technology solutions.

Key Skills and Qualities Include:

- Communication: Clear, respectful written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences, countries and cultures.

- Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data, map processes, identify problems and propose practical improvements.

- Organisation: Strong time management, attention to detail and the ability to keep actions, risks, documents and reports up to date.

- Adaptability: Able to stay focused in a fast-moving environment, including when priorities change or deadlines are tight.

- Teamwork & Initiative: Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with project teams, business users and IT colleagues.

- Technical curiosity: Confidence with Microsoft Office and digital tools, with an interest in business applications, project tools, data analysis, IT service management and process modelling.

- Customer Focus: A strong service mindset and the ability to build effective working relationships inside and outside IT.

Qualifications & Practical Requirements

- Currently studying at university and seeking an industrial placement year.

- Interest in IT, business analysis, project management, process improvement, data analysis or business systems.

- Applications welcomed from students of all backgrounds and disciplines. Academic performance is valued, but potential, attitude and transferable experience are also important.

- UK driving license: Must hold a full UK driving license for at least one year.

- UK Residency: Eligibility to work in the UK (Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship as the salary falls below the required threshold.)
